One of the best hole-in-the-wall sandwich shops. What makes it delicious is the way they make their sourdough bread. Wish they were open on weekends and for longer hours, but it's definitely worth the trek on your lunch break

Great sandwich! Amazing bread, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star was they throw away all plastic. They actually ask you to put all plastic containers in the trash. Maybe they dig through the trash later but I doubt it.

Wow, this place is consistent with high quality of overall product, and the ingredients like the corn-fed-canadian-ham, thin sliced pastrami, sourdough bread, freshly sliced tomatoes. I have tried almost everything on the menu and have never been disappointed, not ever. They have their system of doing things which works for them; it allows them to get through orders quickly, it may seem strange to others, but it's how they can consistently keep the quality up. Simple things like respecting it's a Mom & Pop business and helping to keep the door closed to conserve A/C. I've always been met with prompt & eager attention to my order whenever I'm next in line. Everyone is friendly, ordering is fast and easy. Sure prices have crept up over the years, but so has their rent, and the cost of the highest quality ingredients they use; that being said, over the years, their quality has *never* gone down. I will continue to keep coming back and supporting California Sourdough because they have *always* kept the same quality day-in-day-out, year-after-year. This fact alone, earns this establishment a 5-star from me.

Best sandwich in the South Bay bar none. Been coming here for almost 20 years. Sourdough still warm from the oven and quality meats. Bread makes the sandwich and this is the best you can find.
