Kenji Sushi

Decent enough sushi. Visited for lunch. There were a lot of people but no wait. Service and food were about what you would expect, but nothing special. I can see this being a reliable lunch location with a lot of regulars.

I mean, this place has decent menu, although I didn't try the luxury items, like uni, Toro and etc. But it has them. It can be a very expensive meal, but when I was there at 3pm Sat, the service is very slow, yet restaurant is 75% full. People are yelling and laughing without considering people around, kids were screaming, it is pretty unpleasant environment to me, it could be worse during night time. The food deserves a 4 star, I believe, but on pricey side. Anyway, in SF, you can find a Michelin 1 star with similar price level but much better service. It doesn't even deserve me to take a photo.

Finally, tried this place with a girlfriend. There was a bit of a wait because it was a Friday night. Parking is also tight. Luckily, there was only two of us so it wasn't too long of a wait for a table or our food. We made a reservation through Open Table on Yelp and the hostess did not honor our reservation, which was ridiculous because why offer that option and not honor it? That got us bothered, but it was not going to ruin our night. So, we went outside with our buzzer because their waiting area was up to capacity. Our waitress was nice and friendly. We had to ask for water refills. Our food came out pretty quickly.

Really good place to go for a lounge or dinning vibe. They are open late and they have all kinds of variety of tools. Also a good place for friends who don’t do fish. The quality of their fish could be better, but it’s still much better than some other places I have tried!
