We were looking for the best street taco’s in San Jose and this place had 4.8/4.9 ratings so we decided to try it.
We heave ordered, the Beef, Chicken, Salmon and Shrimp tacos. The beef and the chicken were dry a bit and I wouldn’t get them again, and if I come back again I will get the Salmon or the shrimp as they were richer with sauces and have more flavor.
A true asset to downtown San Jose. The chicken is wonderful and the shrimp is good. I’d skip the tilapia (fine but chicken and shrimp better).
Friendly staff too! Hand sanitizer on the tables is very convenient, please keep!
One of my favorite taco spots in San Jose and as many of you know, there are a lot of great places to choose from. What makes this place unique is their fresh made tortillas and their orange sauce. Both are very good! The meat also had a lot of flavor and was tender as well. Why people flock to La Victoria up the street is beyond me.
Spent the weekend eating my way across Downtown San Jose and as far as Mexican food goes: this little stand was my absolute favorite.
After dropping quite a bit of money on all the surrounding places and being fairly disappointed with the cash-to-quality ratio ($20 for 3 okay-ish tacos nearby, holy wow), I was so, so happy in this case. The burrito I ordered had a great flavor, it was nicely grilled, and all of it was at a great price. On top of that, the staff was incredibly nice.
If I had stayed longer I would've gone twice!
Saw this place while walking through downtown and decided to give it a shot
Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - street tacos of lengua, Al pastor, and asada. Lengua and pastor was juicy and flavorful. Asada was unfortunately dry. The sauces were AMAZING and a great compliment to the tacos. Needed better distribution and amount of onion and cilantro. Wished they provided lime instead of lemon for the tacos since lemon adds too much sweetness rather than acidity sometimes
Ambience: N/A - appreciated the hand sanitizer available at the tables. They set out some tables in the parking lot next to their food truck with some simple lighting. Simple but gets the job done
Service: 4/5 - maybe had a slight language issue but they were really nice. They did bring the food directly to us and some napkins to where we were sitting
Value for price: 5/5 - affordable and cheap compared to some restaurants around
