Nice soft tofu soup place. Descent tofu soup that does not stand-out, which to be honest, makes great tofu soup. I can have this everyday.
Delicious authentic tofu soup! It was a chilly weekday night and they handed everyone some hot tea 🥹 We got the budae jjigae (army stew) and combo tofu soup (my fave) and it came with 5 sides. The interior, though small, is very clean and trendy with new kpop MVs playing on a screen.
The food here was amazing! It comes with complementary tea, rice, and side dishes. We ordered the dumpling tofu soup and the pork bulgolgi and everything was delicious. The pork bulgolgi came on a hot plate with onions and the pork was tender and flavorful. The tofu soup at medium was perfect. Small place, so keep in mind if you have a big party.
Excellent soondubu jjigae! I had many coworkers from Korea recommend this restaurant, so that's how you KNOW it's legit!! I had pretty high expectations.
I decided to try out their "not spicy" option. This is my first time ever trying soft tofu soup without any gochujang. It is definitely on the more salty and savory side. I got the seafood one (Haemul) and it came with squid, mini mussels, tiny shrimp, and one prawn. Not a ton of seafood. The soup was definitely dominated by the silken tofu, but that is how I prefer it!
Of the side dishes, the pickled radish was my favorite! Normally I see this served with fried chicken, so I was pretty delighted to see it and it was cut into strips. The kimchi was tasty, but more spicy than your typical kimchi!
Newly opened Tofu house, replacing the 97 cafe.
We tried the combination tofu soup and Bibimbap. Both are great.
Only 5 side dishes though.
