“Excellent Chinese dishes at great prices. Flavors are authentic and markedly different from what you get at other establishments. Portions are also manageable with a correspondingly lower price tag. Great news for anyone who's not a fan of overly huge portions and taking out leftovers. Self order via kiosks and self collection removes the service aspect which is another bonus. Interior is modern and pleasing. The set meal for 2 is a good deal. Only available in store and not via Doordash etc. Overall this place is doing things right. Keep it up!!”

“Nice Chinese BBQ bar. Recommend beef brisket deckle. There’s still room for restaurant runners and servers to improve. Good side of the service is that servers are constantly collecting used sticks and refilling water. The downside is that mistakes happen here and there: our food portion was served incorrectly (then they served twice the missing portion for apologies) and we were asked to check out before we got served all the food.”

“I've been a fan of Liuyishou Hot Pot in San Mateo for years. I'm so glad that they finally has the second restaurant open in SJ! The interior decor is beautiful, and has a modern, high-class feel that is perfect for any special occasion. As always, The broth is delicious, with a great balance of flavor and variety of options. It makes me feel like I was back to ChongQing! Meats and Vegetables are all fresh as well. The value for money is also great, with generous portions and reasonable prices. I highly recommend Liuyishou Hot Pot SJ for a high-class experience that won't break the bank. Their attentive and friendly staff make the visit even more enjoyable(Thanks Kenny and Shawn!). “Got takeout before the dinner rush. Service was wonderful. Food prepared hot and fresh by the owners/family. The Falafel Wrap Deluxe is massive, about the size of a child's arm; love the cauliflower and potatoes in there. Highly recommend the Kenafeh for dessert. We enjoyed all the dishes and would reorder all again — entire menu is vegetarian, affordable, and portions are generous.”

“We were in the area & had 45 mins to spare so thought of grabbing a quick early dinner.... Our first choice was sushi but unfortunately they were closed at that time (4 pm) so thought of trying HMM ... They have opened just less than a month ago .... Restaurant was empty so had the place to ourselves... they have various options to choose from.... We love Nepali cuisine so knew their dishes very well... Quickly gave our order & was enjoying the ambience listening to Bollywood music & Nepali songs... Restaurant has nice decorations & upon chatting with the owner's sister came to know they are fairly new... We ordered- Chicken Momo with Jhol- I requested them to give me pipping hot since it was very chilly outside which they obliged very happily.Usually the jhol (sauce/chutney) comes lukewarm or room temperature. Chicken Chowmein medium spicy- it was our regular noodles but the chili sauce made a vast difference to the taste... I enjoyed it very much. Traditional Nepali Thali with Goat- we love Nepali Thali very much u get to taste various things like the black eye peas curry vegetable , green leafy vegetables like Bok Choy , goat curry, dal ( yellow dal) which was delicious, my most favorite pickle potato, peas with mustard & some carrots,cucumber slices, rice & flatbread (roti) with papad. Everything was delicious... only thing I found that some pieces of goat meat was very chewy due to the muscle so had little difficulty ...this usually happens when there are different parts of meats mixed.... Usually I prefer the leg pieces. Other then that everything was very good. We loved all the flavors , we managed to finish the Thali between both of us & tasted few bites of noodles & little bit of momos rest we packed for later... Service was very good we will come back here to try their other food choices from the menu.”

“Yesterday I came and ate some very tasty and well-served taquitos, but look, a very upset customer who ordered some pupusas before me. Avia was annoyed that they delivered my order before his. But the boy who works there told him, the pupusas take 10-15 minutes because they are made to order and they are made from below. Friends please 😂 there to understand is a Mexican restaurant not a fast food place the man was upset because it took 20 min. For the other I'm going to order some to try them, I prefer a thousand times to wait 20 minutes, to eat some very hot pupusas, to some that they give me in 5 minutes that have been there for a while, I recommend The tacos I tried were very tasty honestly.”

“Tonkotsu udon beats most ramen and udon I've had in this area. This is definitely not authentic Japanese ramen or udon but it tastes so good! Noodles were made fresh and chewy. Broth was good and thick and heavy. Shrimp tempura was fried to perfection. Also one of the best tempura I've had here. Two months later, I'm changing my review from a 5 to a 4. Food is still good, but the service was so slow. It took us 50 minutes from getting seated to having all of our orders ready. That is pretty unacceptable.”

“There are not many real good taco trucks around, but this one is great! We ordered 2 super tacos and one burrito. The tacos were amazing and the red sauce made them even better. The burrito was put back on the grill to give the outside texture a crunch, and they paired it with the green sauce which didn't have that much spice to it. The burrito was spot on and I think we found another great place to come back to again. If you like Mexican food, you definitely have to give this place a try.”
