I am a fan of their cakes. They are so tasty and not too sweet. Their cappuccino cake is outstanding.

After reading rave reviews about Paris Baguette from fellow Yelpers, I decided to try this place out on El Camino Real. Interestingly enough this is my first Paris Baguette and I am delighted by this place. These places are somewhere in between a cafe and a bakery and the result is greatly welcoming. The organized and spacious interior is deeply invigorating. I and my wife visited this place on a Saturday afternoon and ordered a slice of New York cheesecake and two coffees, a hazelnut flavored and a white mocha. The window side couches are lovely and relaxing. We sat at those two couches for hours and enjoyed every moment of it. Working on a laptop may need noise-cancelling headphones since it gets pretty loud over the weekends due to the numerous chatters of the visitors. However, we had no problem concentrating on spending a couple of hours reading books.

    2. Another visit to pick up the cake that we ordered and we couldn't resist trying a few more things. So we got a chocolate croissant, egg bacon mozzarella and cheese tart.

Let me start with the New York cheesecake that we got for my husband's birthday. It was his selection and he absolutely loved it. The cheesecake was yummy and the sweetness was perfect.

The chocolate croissant was too good. It was soft and not overly chocolatey, but had bits of chocolate pieces in it.

Egg bacon mozzarella was good and soft with the egg perfectly cooked. The dish was cold, but we felt it would have been better if it was warm.

The cheese tart was so good and mouth watery and the price of all these dishes were cheaper compared to some other pastry shops.

    1. Visited the place for ordering my husband's birthday cake. A nice spacious shop for pastries, cakes, pudding, freshly baked bread, coffee, tea and so on. The bakery gives you a shopping experience by allowing you to serve yourself all the items (except cake and drinks) in a wooden tray and then go to the counter to get billed. The large variety of pastry and cakes looked so yummy that we were confused on what to buy. Finally we pre-ordered a New York cheesecake for his birthday and bought milk pudding, strawberry lemon croissant, soft cheese cake and mango coconut cake for that evening.

The milk pudding was served in a small glass container and reminded us of the caramel and pure vanilla custard. It was too good but not excellent.

The strawberry lemon croissant was one of the small croissants available at the bakery. It had strawberry inside the pastry puff. The croissant was really yummy and I will definitely buy a larger croissant on my next visit.

The soft cheese cake as the name suggests was very very soft that it melts in your mouth. It was a simple vanilla cake and instead of the flavor what scored here was its texture. There is also strawberry flavor which I am waiting to try sometime.

The mango coconut cake was one that did justice to its name. It had small mango chunks along with whipped cream in between the layers. The whipping cream at the top had coconut in it and thus each bite gives you bought mango and coconut taste.

Overall what I loved was that it was not overly sweet and all the things we tried had a really good texture and flavor.

PS: will soon update on the cake

The pastries all look delicious and the cakes look like heaven. However, they don't taste quite as good as they look. I'll probably be back but I wasn't very impressed. The premade sandwich was okay and the coffee wasn't very good. It's worth checking out at least once to see if you like it but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Pretty decent selection! They have French macaroons too. I haven’t tried them yet but they r HUGE and look divine! I tried the chocolate bread which is kinda like a brownie with chocolate chunks in it! Sooo good for my chocolate fix. Really pleasant and helpful staff here too. Go get yourself some sugar!
