Enjoyed the ambience and good tasty food. Fast service.
Few suggestions- aviyal needs to be more authentic in its taste, not the watered down recipe they are presently using.
Curd rice had no tadka on it, very surprising and disappointing.
Otherwise, food was very good.
Americanized Indian food now that used to be a Madras staple. As time passed, they changed to cater to a broader audience and that led to a decline of South Indian clientele and influx of North Indian and American crowd. You decide if that works for you or not. It did not for me. I look for authenticity when I visit Saravana Bhavan given their Madras Roots.
We went there in a big group of 20 people today. Food was amazing and service was top notch. Mostly our order came in together on the table. I forgot the name of special idaly dish which my friend ordered and I ate half of it. I will definitely recommend this place .
Anything less than 5 star rating is just not right. Best tiffin's in Bay area, hands down. All 3 chutneys served with dosas is as authentic as it can get. Service is good and very clean atmosphere. This is our first of many more visits, just wonder how I never stopped by this restaurant in the past 8 months I have lived here...
