One of the best popcorn chicken we had in the Bay Area. Good portion too.
Great Gpie bento and the guy that helped me today was super courteous and nice. I really appreciate that type of customer service. Will be back.
Some dishes are really tasty but some are nasty.
Milk tea with boba (50% sugar, less ice): the milk tea was quite delicious but the bobas were not chewy enough.
Grilled corn: I love grilled corn so I had high hopes for this. Sadly they weren’t flavorful enough. (The corn was soggy but that’s probably because I had it delivered via UberEats instead of eating it fresh.)
Braised pork chop rice plate: pretty decent and authentic. The pork chop came with egg, cabbage, corn, and rice topped with some minced pork.
Gpie rice plate: really good!
Basil teriyaki rice plate: gross. Avoid this dish!
I ordered online for pick-up and was pleasantly surprised with the amount and size of the Basil Popcorn Chicken! The chicken was fried perfectly and wasn't oily at all, but I wished they added more seasoning.
I have tried their grilled chicken gpie plate multiple times. It's pretty good. I like the tea egg which comes with it. They also change the veggies regularly so it's pretty good.
However they put pork on rice all the times and sometimes don't honor customized requests to remove pork from rice.
