Dharma's Restaurant

When it comes to well made healthy vegetarian food, no place in Capitola can do better than Dharma’s Restaurant. Their selection of food rivals that of most “fast-food” joints and the quality of food is better than most restaurants. It is a welcome part of the Santa Cruz area traditions.

This place is always great. I am a good cook. There are times when energy is low and something wholesome made by someone else is required to allow the body and mind to rest. Been coming here for 6 years. This food always heals me.

I have been going to Dharma’s since I was a kid in the 80’s (and it was McDharma’s then). One of the most consistent vegan spots. The prices seem high, but you get a ton of food for the price! The BBQ bluff sandwich is awesome! The shakes are amazing! On a cold, drizzly day, go for the samurai soup.

Must go experience their veggie burrito-array of cauliflower, carrots, broccoli, whole beans and cheese; side salad. Yummi. Great quality food. Bit pricey considering you could make at home cheaper. Pay for it to be made. Anyways, large portions and entrees usually come with a beautiful salad. Several choices of well made dressings. I usually get the garlic or pesto pasta. Very tasty.

Pretty park with stunning views! Great place for a picnic with friends. Enjoy the sun-dappled walkways, Frank Lloyd Wright-designed architecture, cool art, and perfect view of the Griffith Park Observatory. Parking is free and plentiful. Pack a picnic and enjoy.
