Excellent food, beautiful ambiance, almost perfect service.
Four of us had dinner at Bella Roma last night. It truly was like stepping into Italy for a little while.
I had the chicken saltimbocca, chicken breas5s with mozzarella cheese, prosciutto, and asparagus.
The presentation beautiful, the taste delectable.
The only drawback was I was given a butter knife to cut it it. It was inpossible to eat it without making a huge mess on the white tablecloth, and keep it from sliding apart.
I waved our server down and asked for a sharp knife, which she promptly forgot as she was preoccupied with a rather large party.
M6 husband asked another waiter who was adding up a lot of meal tickets . After about 5 or 10 minutes of waiting, my husband went to the back and walked back with one.
I am not a nit picking complaining person, but in my day when I was a waitress 40 years ago it was the custom to come back to the table and ask it the diners needed anything else.
As simple as that. I would give
5 stars except for that small detail.
Our dinner was around 400.00 including 2 appetisers, 4 entrees, 2 deserts, 2 beers, one diet coke and one bottle of wine.
I will be back!
Food was delicious. Prices higher than what is my budget but you get what you pay for. There fora birthday dinner. Service fine, parking fine cause sun evening but not sure that it would be easy any other time.
Delicious raviolis! Great service!
Easily the best Italian restaurant in Santa Cruz. It is on the pricier side so more of a special occasion thing, but the food is fantastic, staff is friendly, and you're right in the middle of Capitola village. Because it's in the village you'll need to pay for parking but it's a quick walk from the main lot, and if you're lucky you might find some parking out front.
BEST Italian restaurant in the greater Santa Cruz area! This place has old world charm and a fantastic wine list. The service is always friendly and speedy, even when they are very busy, which is often. The lamb shank, when available is my favorite dish, and the pastas are hand made fresh every day. Take your family (kids welcome and encouraged), for a fancier night out. This is also the perfect restaurant to close a deal, go on a first or regular date.
