“Wonderful spot! They have an AMAZING deli inside with some of the best sandwiches I've found in the county in my decade of living here, at very reasonable prices, with inside seating as well as outside seating, parking for handicapped drivers, and the lot is large enough that I've never seen it without an open spot. The liquor and convenience store area of it is very well stocked and maintained with low prices, huge variety in goods, and the liquor, beer, wine, and wine cooler selections are also phenomenal. My go to place in town when I'm hungry for a sandwich or when I need to buy any type of alcoholic beverage or just a simple snack when I'm on the job.”

“This place is so good!! Amazing food and great atmosphere. Also friendly service. Their brisket nachos are huge! And enough for 3-4 people. Brisket is so yummy. We also tried their taco special (3 for $11) great deal and full of meat tasty salsa and very filling. On another accession we tried the pork sliders with a side of potato salad. Both delicious! Pork is tender with a yummy slaw and buns are tasty. Potato salad seasoned perfectly and very good as well. Lots of outdoor seating and games to play while you wait. This will definitely be a spot we return too. One of the better bbq spots in Santa Cruz”

“We drove here from Alameda - twice. 🙈 The breakfast burritos are so good. They are absolutely huge AND also delicious. If you are going on a weekend call about 15 minutes ahead to avoid the wait. Or wait - it’s worth it.”

“Delicious. Literally some of the greatest tasting bites in memory. I was hoping it was going to be good and was beyond happy to not be let down. I'm still a little beyond myself with this experience. I grew up near Chicago and have been eating pizza since before I was born. I'm a meat eater but not able to eat cheese now so I got the vegan pie. Holy cow! (In Harry Caray voice) So glad to have leftovers and am so glad to know this spot. Oh the beer there is pretty good too ;-)”

“Definitely lives up to the name, because the inside aestheic is red. The drinks were pretty good here and they have plenty of spots to sit and have a chat. Good for what it is, would recommend checking it out.”

“Good- short on produce and no mayo or mustard unless you ask. But, the size is great! We can easily split a regular sub for 2 people as the menu suggests. Many places make this claim but here you actually can have 1 regular sandwich for 2 adults. Hello, honest advertising! thank you JM's!”

“Started off great over a month ago. I even asked specifically, please don’t put the onions and cilantro all at one end of the burrito. It happened anyway and the meat was chewy. (Thanks for your feedback, was all they had to say) My kingdom for one authentic Mexican food joint in Santa Cruz. SMH”

“OMG the quesabirria are soooo hood, everything is though. And inexpensive. All the little touches add up to sensational. Love the lightness of the battered fried fish and shrimp in the tacos. Both salsas I never toss the leftovers. Everything is fresh and quality!!!”

“Imagine my pure joy when I found a place that offers vegan, vegetarian AND regular food. My whole family was able to eat as this restaurant had options to accommodate our dietary needs. We showed up 2 hours before closing and we were greeted and seated by the owner himself. Because we missed the rush he kindly told us the history of his mother and the restaurant when we asked. He also cooked our food which was DELICIOUS! I wish I could have taken pictures of everything he prepared but my family gobbled it up before I had a chance! Evaristas Fettuccine Pasta was the star of the show. Our daughter talked about how amazing it tasted for days afterwards and even brought it up again on the plane ride home! If you’re in the area this is definitely a place to pop by and have a bite to eat. The front patio is a little small but the inside is roomy and the indoor/outdoor space in the back is lovely and beautifully decorated.”

“Lovely empanadas. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The chimichurri sauce was a game changer. Place is kind of like a cloud kitchen, so good for pickups.”

“I really like the taste of their dumplings. Because it is just a soft opening right now, the service is a tad slow. We definitely had to wait longer than expected outside. I also do hope the prices of the dumplings come down a bit. Monster Pot Downtown Santa Cruz is very affordable in my opinion and this place (same owners I believe) is a lot pricier. But, the food was overall tasty. Just hoping for prices to come down after official opening.”

“Burritos were good not anything special. The price was great for the amount of food especially for the area. The burritos were huge and came with tortilla chips on the side with a huge selection for salsas. If anything the chicken could more seasoned for my taste but they really do have a huge selection to choose from for burritos.”

“The Hollins House is perfection. The space and views are beyond gorgeous. The staff is warm and friendly. The food is delicious and high quality. Carter and the wedding team could not have been any better. I am so honored to have gotten married in such an idyllic place surrounded by such amazing people. We go back all the time for dinner and are never disappointed. One of the absolute highlights of the Bay Area.”
