Good new(ish) venue in Scotts Valley. It can get busy, so always good to book ahead. Great selection of beers, but only an ok selection of wine. Food was good, but there did seem to be a number of things (food and drinks) on the menu that were unavailable. Steak tacos were good though. Overall, a great new addition.
***Update: We went back for lunch today hoping enough time had passed for supply chain issues to have been worked out. The reservation system is still in place and we were seated right away. As we walked to our table the host asked if it was our first time dinning with them. We sad ‘no’ and told him of our previous experience. He assured us the issues had been ironed out and things were running well. Great! No items were ‘off the menu’ this time so we ordered the pretzel sticks, spicy chicken sandwich and bourbon cheeseburger. All the food was tasty, but unfortunately the entrees were delivered about 10 minutes apart. I sat with my meal getting cold while we waited for my wife’s burger. The waitress was very apologetic and said they are still ‘ironing out the kinks.’ My preference would be to hold one meal under a heat lamp until the whole meal is ready. Serving one but not the other makes for an uncomfortable ‘just eat’ conversation. Things are getting better, but management needs to pay more attention to how the kitchen is putting out orders. Still Three Stars.***
We don’t often get new places to eat in Scott’s Valley, so when Faultline Brewing opened we were excited! They did a good job with the physical site, but I think they underestimated the supply chain issues. The beer was excellent, but unfortunately we were immediately informed that about half the menu was unavailable as it was ‘sold out.’ The menu is already small to begin with (makes sense; new restaurant). Everything we wanted to order was out of stock. We had a beer and the poblano peppers, which were good, and then headed to Santa Cruz to have our ‘second’ lunch. We will try them again in a month or so. Hope they can figure it out!
We had a wonderful experience here last weekend. The beer was great (a cinnamon cider), the brussel sprouts were AMAZING, and the ambiance was perfect. They have lots of outdoor heaters and plenty of seating inside and out. Faultline has quickly become our new favorite place for a night out in Scott's Valley. We will be back often!
EDIT: Reading other people's reviews I want to mention this is a newly opened location and we came with that in mind. Staffing and supply chain issues are common everywhere these days. A little grace to offer goes a long way as this great new restaurant finds their stride.
Fantastic spot. So glad this was brought to Scotts Valley. The food was delicious and the drinks are on point. I had the friend chicken sandwich and it was perfect.
