“Quiet Sunday evening experience: cozy restaurant, but not crowded. There was one man whose name I can't remember who seemed to be running the whole show. He was incredibly gracious and made me and my friend an outstanding dinner despite having several customers to juggle. It was a cold evening and we ordered Thai ice tea because we couldn't resist. He brought us hot tea with dinner, and then served our ice tea with minimum ice after dinner as dessert. It's as if he read our minds. All in all, this has got to be the best experience ever in terms of a waiter/proprietor reading his clientele and seeing to it that everyone is happy. 10/10 would go back there again. This is a gem.”

“I recently heard about this place and gave it a try this week. One word - Whoa! I found the website, which is used for setting up an account and ordering, very intuitive and easy to use. Each food option gave a brief description along with a list of ingredients used. Quantities are chosen when ordering, so it's easy to tailor the servings to your specific family size/needs. The delivery was right when they said it would be (it looks like there's an option to pickup in Scotts Valley, too). The food is quite amazing; very flavorful, very fresh tasting, not overly salted or heavy like a lot of restaurant prepared food can be. It's not listed on the ingredient list but I'm pretty sure I tasted some love in there ;). Kudos to a well conceived, well executed meal service. My family will be enjoying GRK meals in the future.”

“There are so many dishes I enjoy at Jia Tells, and I appreciate that the menu remains fairly consistent. Today, I stopped for a favorite, curry chicken stew (also available with beef or tofu), as was delighted to discover they now offer green curry stew. It was delicious! This is a comfortable space for dining alone, or with a group of friends. The service is friendly. I'm glad they're so close to my home!”

“Prominently located at a busy intersection but is never as crowded as the McDonald's at the other end of town. The McDonald's gets quite crowded at times with a line, but in the few times I've eaten at Carl's, I've never seen that happen. The hamburgers are tasty and better than any at McDonald's, and they have a few healthy salad options too. Carl's gets extra points for the Certified Vegan Beyond Burger® patty that's available for $2 extra on any burger menu item. There's an American flag ("United We Stand") in the front window, and the ownership has a right wing background, and I mostly go elsewhere even though this is the closest fast food restaurant. For example, you can go in the nearby Scotts Valley Market and get great cooked deli items in the same price range, and I'd rather to that.”
