“We managed to get a last minute cancellation on a Sunday evening and we were so glad that we did. For such an unpretentious little restaurant in “The Loneliest Town” in America, the food is amazing! We were on a road trip and were stopping in Loyalton and the owner of our Airbnb recommended this place; and we’re so glad she did. Try it you won’t be disappointed.”

“(Please note that I did not spend the night at the resort but was staying at a nearby campground so my review is on the actual outpost.) Went here to get red bull and marshmallows and use the bathroom while I was there. Bathroom was not in the best shape and had bugs, but everything worked and due the the location of the business and the bathrooms being outside it’s mostly unavoidable. Prices were high, but it wasn’t that bad. Great interior too.”

“Fabulous venue for a wedding !!!!! Jim was super helpful in helping us make arrangements for our wedding at the Buckhorn Restaurant and Bar. The setting was fantastic, the food was very reasonably priced and many of us stayed at the Buttes Resort across the street. The hotel is right on the Yuba River and the surrounding view is spectacular !! We were very comfortable at the hotel and enjoyed the deck overlooking the river the evening before. Jim saved us a lot of money by getting a band for us called "The Neighbors". They were awesome and we celebrated and danced the afternoon away. It was truly a wonderful celebration and I would very highly recommend it !!”

“We came here for pizza around noon on Mother's Day and they were out of pizza due to a large order. Hmmm... What a bummer. So we ordered burgers and a salad. Everyone enjoyed their burgers and my Fuji salad was very good. We sat outside over looking the river. They have a nice spot on the river next to the bridge.”
