Small menu. No pancakes or waffles. Got a breakfast burrito with sausage. I expected breakfast sausage but it was italian sausage. Gross. Wish they would have told me that or specified it on the menu. Had to dismantle my burrito to remove it.
This spot is an absolute jewel and anyone who doesn't love eating here is a troll who probably lived under a bridge. This guy has been running restaurants in North Beach for decades and this is his retirement spot. You should be able to tell from the menu that it's going to have good food, that's what I did, anyway. The breakfast was spectacular. It's like the kind of food you dream about/think doesn't exist anymore. Breakfast came with potatoes and POLENTA. POLENTA! Go see for yourself. Make sure you are aware of the limited hours.
Amazing food, breakfast burrito was epic and lots of good choices. Great atmosphere w mimosas or bloody Mary’s
If you never had the chance to visit a North Beach Italian restaurant before SF was ruined by the tech bros, Mount Shasta has the answer. Gigi’s is a great little Italian restaurant with the original Italian-American style. Proud of their heritage- photos and great food to prove it. Fun spot. Well worth the morning. If you’re lucky, you might catch Gigi there. Hurry before he moves back to Italy!
The owner Gigi comes in and suddenly it felt like we were home. Chef's special included a baked apple alongside a ham slice. What?! Yum!! The space is so eclectic. Look at that cash register. We fell in love with this place. Everything about it is YES!! Will be back!!
