Timberline has been a few different places over years, but I think we finally found a hit. The food is comfort with a touch of southern. The food was traditional, but well prepared. It’s not perfect, but better than average. The menu is small but has some food favorites. They have locally made pie for dessert. I personally hated the pie. Timberline has a full bar.

The service was good. But at times she was getting overwhelmed and thus service slowed. The young bus boy was cute and attentive. The cabin decor fits with the area. Parking is available in front of on the street.

The food here tastes great. We had the fish and chips and chicken fried chicken. Huge portions, that we're very delicious. The service was friendly, but slow. We weren't disappointed. It was nice to sit and talk, but you might prepare for wait time. Expect a laid back, friendly atmosphere. The menu is a bit expensive, but the portions more than make up for the cost. You really could split any of the entrées, they're that large (for our liking, anyway). I give it a four only because some people might want to get in and out faster and you won't likely find that here.

Timberline is one of our favorite restaurants in the area -- we visit at least once or twice a month (and sometimes more!) The food is exceptional, the portions are generous, and the atmosphere is cozy, woodsy and clean, with big bright windows and a view out over the town and mountains. The people are wonderful, warm and welcoming. It manages to be a really nice restaurant without crossing the line into pretentious or uncomfortably fancy territory. We absolutely love this place. Have now taken/recommended to at least a dozen other friends and family members, all of whom come back raving about the food. They also have a full bar and an excellent rotating selection of top-notch beers and wines. The owner Larry is such a joy to see and talk to -- a genuinely friendly, down to earth, and generous human being who really knows his food. While we haven't tried a thing on the menu we didn't love, some of my favorites include the chicken fried chicken, prime rib, eggplant napoleon, summer Asian chicken pasta, cheesecake, baked beans, potato salad, BBQ sandwiches, and French toast from their awesome brunch menu (complete with bottomless mimosas).
