Sauced BBQ Petaluma

As we’re always in search of burnt ends, you need look no further than Sauced. They’re delicious and not fatty. We were tired of being on the 101 and escaped to Petaluma on our way to Napa. We saw the sign and the Restaurant did not disappoint. Try the sweet potato casserole side as it complements the barbecue sauce with its dessert level of sweetness.

I was pretty disappointed coming back to sauced after going there for so long with attentive services. They totally changed everything which takes away from the restaurant atmosphere. I miss having a waiter or waitress take my order and fill up my waters. Now it seems like I gotta pay for water since I don’t want any soda etc. I use to love the nachos but they downsized it and made it more expensive. I don’t mind the prices but taking away stuff from the menu kinda sucked. I’m limited now.

Wish I could give a better review. This place seems to go thru a major change every time I come back. Most recent is there are no servers to take your order. We didn't realize this until we walked up to the bartender to ask if we needed to place our order with him since we were sitting at a high top near the bar, he then explained the ordering process. Not sure we will go back.... The location is great, drinks are decent, food is hit or miss, but now the service piece makes you feel like you are at a fast food place.

Tasty selection of traditional BBQ items in a large space somewhat hampered by ownership's attempt to also be a sports bar. They have the audio from one sporting event from the many screens loudly broadcasting over the entire restaurant. They did turn off the sound in the smaller room we ate in, but I never understand why sports sound from one game needs to blaring in a food establishment at all. Sports fans are used to watching a game without the audio in this kind of venue. Better to have music on the sound system. The food is very good, so I don't know why they have to try to be a sports bar too.
