We could easily have eaten here multiple times in the couple days we stayed in Petaluma. The ricotta gnocchi I had was absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delectable! We didn't try any of the crostini but I heard great things from locals while there. The wine list is great with a good variety from Italy and California - smart to pare it down to two locales! I'd love to visit again.
Food was very tasty. Atmosphere was relaxing and easy. Waitress was a bit slow but she was very friendly.
We had lunch here for twice, one year interval. It is in a small plaza. The decorations look good for young people, unlike other Italian restaurants in town. The dishes are great. I like the wide and thick pasta as well as the risotto. The smoked salmon is great for appetizers. Excellent service and environment.
Entrees and service were excellent but I felt like this place was cutting corners in other ways that make me uncomfortable giving five stars.
The venue was cramped, packed, and extremely loud. The wine was overpriced, with the cheapest glass of local wine at $9. We were only given 3 pieces of bread and olive oil, had to ask for vinegar separately.
None of these things are deal breakers and the pasta was great. But it just felt like corner cutting in a way that made me more satisfied with some other locations in town.
