I had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch this morning. The eggs Benedict was REALLY good. Everything was hot and fresh. The angel food cake was super yummy too! The service was attentive and friendly. It was a lovely day

Iron & Vine is perfectly located within the Bennett Valley Golf Club. It was easy to find and had plenty of parking. We went on a Thursday night, which was awesome because they have live music. When you first walk in, it doesn't have the feel of a restaurant, it's more like an event center. If you're expecting the traditional restaurant, you'll be in for a surprise. This is pretty common for country club restaurants though, so it was fine with us. The first challenge was seating. We weren't sure if we were to wait and be seated or what was happening. I think some sort of sign would be helpful. They were insanely busy and finally, someone noticed we were a little lost and filled us in that it was open seating and a waiter would find us.
We sat by the window and waited for someone to help us. We were so hungry that we pulled the menu up on our phones so we could be ready (we weren't given a menu and didn't see them anywhere to grab). It took some time but a waitress finally came over to us. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 main dishes. We also asked what was on tap and she said they didn't have a beer list and she didn't have them memorized. This was puzzling to us because there was a wine list on the table...why wouldn't you have a beer list on the other side or somewhere else? She named off what she could and we were fine with whatever hazy was available.
We ordered the pretzel bites and brussels sprouts to start. The brussels were delicious. The bacon could be cut a little smaller so you can have a little with each bite but otherwise, they were amazing. The pretzel bites were also great. The beer cheese was a little runny and could use a little thickening but the flavor was still there. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap and Dan had the steak sandwich. The menu really needs to note that the wrap has tomatoes and onions in it. It's only a small inconvenience for me (I just don't like them) but it could be an allergy to someone else. It should really be on there. The fries were really good even though the seasoning was inconsistent. They were really crispy and I like that. Dan's steak sandwich was okay but the structural integrity was not there. The sandwich kept falling apart all over the place. It was a mess to eat. He ordered it with a side salad and it came with no dressing. He wasn't asked if he wanted a dressing so he assumed there was a house dressing or something on it. Nope. He ended up using the rest of the beer cheese and some of my wrap. No one ever came by to make sure everything was alright for us to ask for dressing.
All in all, it wasn't the best experience. They were very busy so we try to give them the benefit of the doubt. I don't think open seating is the best idea for them. It seemed like some waiters were getting bogged down more than others and it felt a little chaotic. The food was alright. The prices were amazing. We do want to come back and give them another shot but this wasn't the best first impression. Hopefully, their breakfast is amazing. We would love a new breakfast spot.

Band night: Danny is an awesome waiter! DO NOT ORDER the house margarita - yuck! Luckily I had Danny for a waiter and he replaced it. Highway 12 band was awesome as always! The band area needs tile, wood, or linoleum - no carpet! Also, take out one of the huge tables in band area, maybe put in smaller square tables. The dining area needs a dimmer switch - or you can bring sunglasses. Welcome back Bennett Valley Golf Course and Club House! Thanks for offering the free music again. It is appreciated.

My fiancée and I come here often for breakfast. The service is always superb. Cynthia was our server today. Friendly, cheerful, and professional. Food is good and a great price.

We have dined here multiple times. The pickle chips and Brussel Sprouts are the finest in Sonoma County! Service is friendly and efficient. Looking forward to Thursday music!
