“The service is WONDERFUL, prompt and courteous. Only to be out done by the quality of traditional food that is offered. A VERY comfortable and relaxed atmosphere welcomes you and is the BEST for the price on the menu. You would be hard-pressed to find this quality of service, food and surrounding for the value. And for all these reasons is why we've been eating here regularly since it's opening.”

“5 stars for "I LOVE ART BRO," the Wednesday night art show/live music keeps me coming back! Such a rad spot with great energy and very kind Staff. Central raised dance floor/stage is intimate and welcoming, though you can sit at the surrounding tables/bar if you'd like to observe rather than join in. Small parking lot in the alley through the back door and surprisingly tidy bathrooms. Definitely always a good time at Cellar Wednesday nights!”

“Its a low budget pop up restaurant, maybe one day it will be something or maybe one day it will be closed. The setting inside is very old and outdated, from tables to light fixtures. I ordered 3 tacos, since they are only $1. I had the chicken, the barbacoa and also the asada. The tacos were made quickly and arrived at my table in about 5 minutes, granted it was empty. The tacos tasted mediocre, nothing special. Good experience, nothing I would rave about.”

“Very nice, clean and hospitable. Food is authentic Aguascalientes Mexican style simple but very flavorful. Meals are reasonably priced. Will for sure be a place where I will continue to visit.”

“Went for dinner had a great time! Nice little hole in the wall. We ordered chicken pho and chicken spring rolls. Everything was delicious. The chili oil was my favorite. It's different than every other chili oil I've ever had. It's black in color and has a smokey flavor. Great addition to my pho. Husband took some chicken and rice home for lunch too so that was nice. The owner is the server and cook so please be kind and remember good things take time.”

“This place is a WOW! In a discrete location industrial side of town. Had the vanilla pancakes, country fried steak and the country breakfast. All excellent. Clearly every dish is made to order. The fried potatoes are crispy and delicious. The sausage gravy was a bit spicy creamy, savory and smooth. Our server was very attentive and quick! Will absolutely be back again for more. No pictures because we ate everything!!”

“Good food, a bit pricey for a sandwich. However, the taste (in my opinion) is way better than any of the sandwich places nearby. Food was quickly prepared and the cashier was very nice.”

“Came to Rookies last week to have a late dinner with my son and the food was great. Before we got our food the security had came around because it turns into a 21 and over but they where very polite and understanding and let me and my family finish eating and did not rush us before it turned into a club. Very grateful and definitely will come here again. GREAT FOOD SECURITY AND SERVICE!!!!!!”

“Fun time! Go when you have time to wait for a fresh, made just for you treat. Jacob helped us, and was super friendly, upbeat and attentive, even with a big crowd. I’m surprised to see some critical reviews about the time... it’s clear when you come in how many groups are ahead of you, and quite simple to deduce how long the wait will be. I’m just happy to see so many Visalians out supporting a new business! Thanks for the treat!!!”

“Haven’t eaten here for a very long time and that won’t happen again. There was a 45 minute wait at Alejandra’s so we walked down Main Street. There wasn’t a soul in Salazar’s which made us nervous. They need some updates marketing or something. Or we’ll just keep it our secret. Either way, no one in our 10 person party left hungry and everyone raves about their dishes. I had the chimichanga and it was superb. The top shelf margarita was also perfect!”

“Came here on a Thursday evening at around 7.45pm and it was not too crowded and gotta love the atmosphere. Ordered sushi and a chicken & tempera Bento box and my kids love the crispy tender chickens and my wife and I love the sushi. Overall, the price is reasonable for the downtown location and the amount of foods served to us was plenty as it was what we paid for!! No complaints as our family will return and I highly recommended this restaurant to everyone...!”

“Have been a regular all summer! Julia (owner/manager) has been lovely to get to know. The bowls are a refreshing favorite for the whole family. Generous portions and 100% fresh ingredients. It’s worth the money for such healthy fresh food!”
