The Dutchess

Very unique menu! I highly recommend their tea leaf salad, coconut curry and cocktails. Absolutely tasty and high quality ingredients! I also have to mention how friendly everyone was and I felt so welcomed.

I had the chickpea coconut curry and the fritters and they were some of the best in my life. Played pool with a guy named Noah. I didn’t know him, it was spontaneous and wholesome. That’s the kind of vibe this place is gonna give you.

Ojai's newest restaurant offering. I have been twice for food and drinks and twice for cocktails and dessert. Service is always very good; prompt, pleasant, and professional. Enjoyed the Tea leaf salad, crispy potatoes, and the pickled vegetables. They were out of the mushroom entree, so maybe next time. The grilled vegetable skewers are very tasty. I could easily eat 8-10 of these, but at $4.50 each....well. I shared a lassie pie on the 3rd night they were open and was disappointed that it was frozen in the middle. In another visit we shared a chocolate tart, very good except one could not cut through the crust/pastry with the very large spoons they provide.

Bottom line....worth going, great atmosphere, just ask for forks with dessert and be prepared to spend money.

We had dinner at the Dutchess last night. The space is warm and well designed, the people were friendly and helpful. Despite having just opened, they seemed relaxed and knowledgeable. This is not “fast food” but the modest wait for our entrees left us time to enjoy the back porch and do a little people watching. We came back for the pastries this morning and were blown away. Try the Fat Uncle almond croissant but don’t tell anyone else…

A new sensational restraunt in Ojai. Every single detail of the decor, menu and wine list has been meticulously considered with an exceptional standard of quality. I stopped in last Friday for baked goods for the office and was blown away with the excellent service and delicious bakery goods.
Dinner tonight was incredible. I had the "kiss me" cocktail and would highly recommend it. The tandoori chicken was also scrumptious. Our server Kimmy... wonderful! She was exactly the right amount of timely service, friendly conversation but let us enjoy our dinner and privacy as well....a true professional. Will be back for sure!
