Newbury park location is great! Owner is very nice too.
Excellent food and service. You may get sticker shock walking in, but think of this place as a reward to yourself! Great food and service is worth paying extra in my book!.
We arrived early but they seated us after we asked. Staff brought water and inquired if we wanted lemon wedges and happy that they offered said yes. Lemon never came so we had to ask for it. Ordered dinner, two appetizers and two entrees. They brought the octopus and the server said "Octopus?" We said yes and she barely slid the pan on the table's edge. It was flavorful with butter and garlic but slightly tough. Had the red and whitecsalad which they split for us. This was excellent. Sand dabs were breaded and tasted very eggy. Halibut was so overcooked I sent it back. Staff did not check on us so my husband was done with his Dabs. I declined a refuge. We got the housemate tiramisu which was excellent as well as the chocolate mousse. They took the halibut off the bill and did not charge for dessert. Disappointing meal but some highlights.
Came across Daphne's omw to a Burger place next door noticed the "Halal" meat sign in the window and then felt Okay it's time to do something Healthy AND Yummy ordered the Gyro plate (5 stars) and the falafel/humous plate. Now full disclosure I've been known to be a Falafel Snob and with that said I wasn't impressed with the Falafel (but that's just me)
Food was average. Nice decor. Quick service.
