The Saloon Ventura

Surprise vegan/vegetarian eats on the menu so we stopped to try. We enjoyed the food. The atmosphere was to bar like for us.

Their happy hour ROCKS. Well thought out, delicious specialty drinks. VERY cool space. *Slightly* limited but tasty vegetarian menu with vegan options. Server was very knowledgeable about what was in each dish.

Lively place with great cocktails. Really like the arched ceiling with the rustic wood ambiance. Drinks are a bit pricey, but about what I would expect for a downtown Ventura bar. It's right in the heart of the activity so it's easy to drop in for a drink and move on to other great places in the area or stay for the afternoon.

Superior cocktails from knowledgeable bartenders. If you want quality, well-made cocktails, that are made with fresh ingredients and care then this is your place. A proper whiskey sour with egg whites, YES. A smoked old fashioned with smoke, YES. These guys are great at what they do. Kudos!

Make sure you try their Old Fashioned and Breakfast shot! The bartenders are the best around, not too bad to look at, especially if you like that hipster mountain man vibe, and they don't skimp on the liquor! Always make sure you tip and they'll take care of you. Plus the food is perfect for when the beer munchies hit you. Can't go wrong with a day time visit to play pool and enjoy a quiet drink with friends but nighttime is when this place comes alive.
