Unique, eclectic restaurant with good food for everyone (vegan, vegetarian, or omnivore). This place is best for breakfast and features scrambles of every variety, good coffee, and vegan and non-vegan pastries or desserts along side a scattering of other selections.
Delta of Venus is staffed by and receives much patronage from UCD students and takes some holidays along with the students so don't be surprised to find Delta of Venus closed over the winter holidays or another student break. If Delta of Venus is closed you can head on over to Crepeville, but I always try Delta of Venus first.
Great Davis vibe, good beer, strong coffee and delicious food.
this place is so cute and cozy!! the food is quite decent and filling for the low price, and i love the vibes here. it's a very "davis" kind of place.
Great friendly neighborhood shop. Coffee, tea, breakfast items and sandwiches. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options, especially on the breakfast menu, most any egg dish can be made with tofu instead. All the staff are super friendly, I always feel like family coming in, and I’m not particularly a regular. Very comfortable environment, and a great patio. Brunch on the patio is wonderful. Be warned, don’t park in adjacent parking lot- that belongs to the dental practice next door, and they do tow. Park on the street, or plan to walk or bike. It’s an easy walk from campus, or from anywhere in downtown.
The food is okay. I had the simple salad, and it was rather flavorful and visually pleasing, if more pricey than expected. I have yet to try the coffee. The atmosphere might be off-putting for some, considering the more bohemian types who come here, but overall I would say it’s down-to-earth. I’d recommend this place only to most experienced of travelers or Davis denizens who haven’t been.
