I’ve come multiple times during their soft opening phase, and am so excited for their grand opening on Saturday! The broth is so high quality, you can tell it’s been cooking for hours. “We stopped by here tonight and let me just say the customer service is amazing and we were helped right away so that’s always a plus for us! The restaurant is very clean and has enough space outside and inside for guests. The pricing is really good for the amount they serve you! We ordered a kofta platter and a chicken platter. I chose spicy for my chicken and I was pleased by the spice level as I usually try to stay away from overwhelming spice as some restaurants don’t really say how spicy it is! This was a medium and tolerable heat while still being delicious. The platters come with rice, a salad, and your meat choice. The rice was perfect! It was not dry and had a great consistency. The salad was the star for me here, the veggies are cut up at perfect lengths and they are very fresh. It includes lettuce, purple cabbage, tomatoes, cucumber and a yogurt sauce. We ordered hummus and pita on the side, the hummus is a must try. It is spectacular, we believe it is homemade please try it if you go here it’s a must! The food came with a drink as well. And if you’re a fan of Mountain Dew, they have it here! The menu has a great variety, there’s something here for everyone! They have gluten free options as well as veggie and vegan! Definitely a must if you’re in Davis. This place filled us up quick, we almost stopped eating after the hummus because it’s so filling! we had plenty of leftovers!”

“Been to this location two times. Both times were great experiences. Staff is great, restaurant is pleasing to enter, family friendly. You can grab a beer at the place next door and bring it to the food side. The chili fries are yummy, taste a hint of cinnamon in the chili. The chili dog is so worth it. I had the spicy burger with an impossible patty(the way they cook the impossible burger is not like anything I have ever had). They make the patties crispy which is very delicious. They also have fresh squeezed lemonade. We will definitely be back and want to recommend this place to everyone. It’s nice for Davis to have a place like this.”

“Great vibes, excellent food and amazing cocktails! You have to try the Green Bean Fries appetizer which are so tasty! My new favorite way to eat green beans! And the Alabama White sauce they come with is the perfect pairing. I also had the Steak and Avocado salad which was the right combination of savory with the steak and blue cheese and tangy with the tomatoes, avocados and balsamic dressing. Also for those skeptical, this salad was really worth the money because of how much steak it comes with (not all restaurants will have that good of a lettuce to meat ratio). Definitely a full meal. Can’t recommend it enough! You have to try the Pollinator lavender cocktail. It’s seriously my new favorite cocktail! It’s super refreshing and just the right amount of boozey. I’m obsessed! For those looking for something a little spicier, I also LOVED the Dirty Marge. Its unlikely any other spicy margarita I’ve had before. So dang good! Also for those who remember the inside of the building as it was previously, you’ll be pleasantly surprised to find that they kept the library nook in the back - revamped but with the same couches and good vibes as before!”

I ordered the falafel wrap and was immediately impressed by the fresh ingredients and perfectly seasoned falafel. The wrap was packed with flavor and had just the right amount of spice. I also tried the mango lassi and was blown away by how delicious and refreshing it was. It was the perfect complement to my meal. “We went in the evening for dinner and noticed that, interestingly, this location serves the food exclusively in take-out containers. There's plenty of indoor seating and two tables outside shared by the awning. We got the chicken katsu plate with rice and macaroni salad ($13), the unagi (eel) rice bowl ($16), and the BBQ beef bowl ($11). One nice thing about this location is the weekly discounted offerings, including the BBQ chicken bowl going for $10 on certain days. The portions were hearty and worth the price, especially the katsu plate. Note that the sauces come on the side, are served cold, and they may sadly run out of teriyaki sauce by the evening. We enjoyed the crispy katsu and unagi with the slightly sweet marinade but would have preferred the rather dry beef BBQ bowl to come with a side of sauce. Also, I would recommend checking the concoction of fruits and vegetables in provided water and taste-testing before getting a full cup. On the day we went, they offered a mix of lemons, cucumbers, and limes that mixed into a strong herbal flavor that is more of an acquired taste. Great experience with friendly staff who made our batch of katsu sauce fresh on the spot – this location of Tim's Hawaiian has maintained the quality from their OG spot!”
