Boiling Pot

Average hot pot meal. Not much special.

- Background: I have eaten here about 15 - 20 times.
- A good selection of hot pot options to choose from. Bowl size is good, but the bowl is only moderately filled. My personal favorite is the Curry Fish Ball pot. I have not tried the appetizers or drinks though.
- Service is mediocre, but mostly from the male servers. Many of the male servers talk to each other instead of looking around. Multiple times I have not been asked for my order & was just stared at for my order. The server with the tattoos is an exception though - he is very responsive and nice. Most of the female workers actually respond though.
- Expected wait time following an order seems to range anywhere from 15 - 45 minutes.
- On one occasion where I had tipped, I checked my credit card to see that I had been charged $3 extra from what I had originally tipped. I called for an apology, but I have never gotten a refund for the extra charged tip.
- The restroom is clean.

Stopped by last fall during a work trip to Sacramento. The soups were pretty interesting. Wished they would have had some chilli paste and lemon to go with the soups, but that's just me. However, it would have been great it they had other drink options, the tea was far too sweet.

So good! We came at around 2pm on a sunday and it was still pretty full. We got the spicy beef bowl. Make sure you mix all the sauces!

The widows are tinted so it always looks dark from the outside like it's closed, but inside it bright and inviting, and the temperature is just right.
Everything was good. I never want squid or octopus because I hate the texture but I tried my partner's fried calamari appetizer and the texture was perfect! (and it was seasoned well.) We split the vegetarian with several extras and some meat on the side. It was rather good and So filling. Next time I think I'll get the seafood one with the crab and shrimp in the shell :)
