NO BBQ SAUCE?? C MON MAN! WHO EATS CHICKEN FINGERS WITHOUT BBQ SAUCE? NO RANCH EITHER??? But it was really good! If they had more sauces than the wannabe secret sauce from in-n-out then I would give it 5 stars. I will bring my own sauce next time. But the chicken is absolutely delicious
When Raising Cane’s opened its doors at the end of last year, it was a huge event in this small town. People were standing in line not just the first week but even the following weeks. I don’t usually eat fast food, but judging by the warm welcome Raising Cane’s received in Davis, I decided to give it a try. I had the box combo which included chicken fingers which were good enough to be eaten on its own, although they definitely improve with the special sauce (which has probably half a million calories, but it's fast food so that’s to be expected). The fries and the Texas toast were ok, and I liked the coleslaw (it wasn’t the typical one). Something that I particularly liked was the decoration of the place, which takes Davis’ history as inspiration. Food was ready fast. The cashiers were efficient. Would I ever stand in line for Raising Cane’s? Of course not. But I’d say it was satisfactory enough for me to wish I could find this at the airport on my next trip.
Came here at 6pm on a Saturday night. There was a long line but the wait was only about 15 minutes in line and another 15 minutes wait for the food. For about $10, there was SO much food so it is pretty value. The chicken was hot, crispy, and moist. The crinkle cut fries were crispy which is rare in other restaurants. I really liked the slaw as well because it was not so heavy on the mayo. They pride themselves on the sauce but I feel like they give so little so I had to order more sauce for extra 39 cents. I wish they gave the sauce away for free since they pride themselves in it. To describe the sauce, it's a very vinegary and super black peppery thousand island sauce. It was pretty good except I'm not a huge black pepper lover which is just me. I would definitely come here again for a snack once the hype goes down.
This location of Raisin' Canes is off to a great start! I've been to other Raisin' Canes in Louisiana, and this one is holding its ground. I'd recommend ordering online during busy times so you can beat waiting in line. Love the disco balls!! Will be back again!
