Well Season

Very happy with having a decent dim sum place in Davis. Nice food and ambient. Can accommodate big group gatherings and casual bites.

The food is always hot and fresh. The price is excellent. The staff come serve you right away. The only thing missing is a little better consistency with the Dim Sum menu. They make this awesome crispy ham dish that I got one time Dim Sum, but they haven't had it since, it doesn't appear to be on the menu, and I WANT MORE!!!!

We are so happy that there is finally a fun sum restaurant in Davis. We went there for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised. Everything that we tried was pretty good. We especially liked the baked buns. There might be more variety of you go to one of the places in Sacramento, but if you want good dim sum at a reasonable price, there's no need to drive all of the way out there.

2nd visit at dinnertime. Amazing variety of dishes. All the dishes we ordered were tasty. Minus one star for service: waiters did not revisit our table to see if we needed anything...3 times I had to wave one down...and it was not that busy.

Not sure what others are saying about things not seeming fresh but went there on a monday night and everything was perfect.

We got:
Shrimp dumplings
Scallion pancakes- so crisp, so many layers probably the best I've had
Seafood crispy noodles
Chinese broccoli with garlic sauce
Turnip cakes- we weren't sure what this was when we ordered it but it was soft in texture and fishy. We liked it a lot.
Green sesame balls- soft in texture, not greasy and a very strong but not overpowering sesame flavor.

Everything was very good. We spent a decent amount of money, but plenty of food for the two of us and enough leftovers for a couple lunches as well. We will definitely be back!
