Yang Kee Dumpling

The food came out piping hot. The soup dumpling was super juicy and both the skin on the soup dumpling and chili wontons were thin. I also ordered the sauteed green beans and I did not like the garlic slur that was used, but that could be a personal preference. The waitress was on top of it! Knew when to come by to take our order, and was super attentive to refilling our tea pot. Not even half an hour after opening on a Friday afternoon and the restaurant was filled already.

It's a hit every time! Delicious dumplings- a true gem in Davis. It's not every day you find an authentic dumpling house with sleek modern ambiance. Love the big glass windows looking into the kitchen where the chefs are always making the next batch of fresh steamed dumplings. The food is amazing and really hits the spot.

Place was packed! Being able to see them making the food in the window was really fun.

Pork Soup Dumplings - Excellent! Great flavor and texture on the dumpling. So so excited to have a place with such yummy soup dumplings

Pork Chive Dumplings - Tasty. Nice chewy texture and great filling :)

Spicy Green Beans - I feel like it would be hard to mess up green beans but they were fresh, and I enjoyed the sliced peppers and onions.

Service was friendly. They had tasty ginger vinegar and chili oil but no to go containers to take it with my leftovers! Small "con" that I hope we can take with to go as it was a nice addition to the meal.

They accidentally charged me for the wrong quantity of dumplings but fixed it promptly. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My family and I really enjoyed our dinner at Yang Kee Dumpling. What set this place apart was the clear view of the prep area where everyone in the restaurant can watch the staff prepare fresh dumplings!!!Dumplings!!!! WHAT A CONCEPT.👏👏👏

I love their soup dumplings, best in town. The pork dumplings were my favorite. They tasted naturally umami. The skin was thin and elastic. The shrimp and loofah dumplings were refreshing. The crunchy loofah added extra texture. The green and white skin was unique, but slightly thicker than the pork one. Wonton chili oil was just so-so compare to the soup dumplings. The ambiance was pleasant. The was a big pretty painting on the wall. The open kitchen was fun to observe. The service was attentive.
