Always delicious. I've chatted with the owners about their sourcing for the first and they really always get first pick and you can tell by the taste! I especially love their tuna and salmon. Their rolls are tasty and creative, and their JFC (karaage) is the best I've found in Denver. Would definitely recommend stopping by to have lunch or dinner if you're at the Marketplace.
The sushi was actually pretty good, but the hand rolls were barely filled. In the photo, the two hand rolls on the left are those I was served at Misaki. The two on the right were hand rolls I have had at other sushi restaurants. As you can clearly see, the Misaki rolls are quite lacking in fish - the top left photo is a spicy tuna hand roll and the bottom is a salmon skin hand roll. So even though the quality was good, ultimately, I cannot say if this is worth the money.
This sushi restaurant is fast, delicious, and perfect for casual evening or lunch. Their set-up inside Stanley is an interesting, little nook but once you're sitting it feels cozy. Their menu is a classic with traditional rolls and nigiri alongside unique eats. The service is incredibly friendly, every time you stumble across the owner he acts like he knows you personally, which is a nice touch. We often find ourselves eating at the bar or grabbing something to go.
The food here was surprisingly fresh for 5 minutes before close. The ginger is well kept, as most ginger in Colorado gets dry if not taken care of. The fish was just right and the miso soup had flavor. So many places add too much water or salt to compensate for the lack of actual substance. The rice is in a similar higher category. Too dry or too mushy is common in Colorado, so getting sticky rice just right is no walk in the park. They do rice right. The owner is a really great manager from a people and product perspective. I'm very happy he is leading the helm on this kiosk style corner store. Good people, passionate about their job almost always guarantee great service. Meaning, if (big "if" here) the product isn't up to par, you can count on great customer service decisions getting you taken care of.
