Gregorio's New Mexican Cuisine

Gregorio’s is very bright and clean. The owner (I assume?) was very friendly and welcoming. There have been a few restaurants in this location, but this is the first I’ve seen with table service. It is a smart idea, since the ordering area at the front was a little small for counter serve. The prices were also pretty reasonable (~$9-11).

The complimentary chips and salsa came out very quickly and the chips were fresh off the fryer and well seasoned. The salsa was mild, but still had a nice little heat to it.

We got the Indian tacos and the beef enchiladas.

The fry bread on the Indian tacos was a little thinner than I’m used to (think about the thickness of a chalupa), but it made up for that in width, basically taking up the whole plate. The fry bread has a nice, slightly sweet flavor that complimented the saltiness of the cheese and green chili. The portion size was very generous, plenty of meat and chili to go with the fry bread. The beef was good, but every so often I got a little bit of a stronger hit of cinnamon which I could have done without.

I’m not sure why one commenter mentioned that everything seemed storebought, both the green and red chili tasted made from scratch and had a nice flavor. I personally would recommend the green chili, it was perfectly balanced. The red chili was very tasty, but quite smoky from chipotle.

The tortillas on the enchiladas seemed homemade, I love them. They had the nice chewiness I love in corn tortillas without having that kind of grainy texture you sometimes find in store-bought tortillas. The enchiladas were generously stuffed and came with plenty of rice and beans.

I would recommend checking this place out. They sell breakfast burritos all day, so I’m excited to try those pot!

Amazing red and green chili. Very fresh and hot food. Will definitely be back.

This place is awesome! It is a new staple for my family and I would recommend stopping in if you live near by. Very delicious food and the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. Two thumbs up!!!!

The staff is very friendly & courteous and their place is clean. The red chili is delicious ????
