Falafel King Restaurant

Wow, we were enticed in by the offering of free samples of falafel and gyro meat. The gyro meat is the real deal—-made with lamb and beef and sliced from a spit!! We opted for the gyro special—-a gyro with 6 falafel and tahini on the side plus a drink. YUM!!! The gyro was stellar—-better than any we have had in Greece, and served on a warm pita with spring mix instead of regular lettuce plus a hefty potion of meat with tomatoes and tzatziki sauce. The freshly prepared falafel were a delight all in itself, especially with the tahini with fresh herbs!!! I am not normally a fan of fresh tahini, but this version is fabulous!!

My go to spot in Boulder when I am craving a gyro or falafel! Been frequenting this place for the last 20+ years and it never disappoints. The food is authentic, fresh and the hospitality and service from the staff and wonderful family that own the restaurant are among the best in Boulder.

Traditional and consistent. This IS my favorite place to eat, when on Pearl. You will get Falafel in every bite! Portions are heavy. Been coming here over 10 years. The best quality food ever. Good for Vegan and Vegetarian, also meat dishes, too. You simply walk in order and it's being prepared in no time, service is prompt. You seat Your self. Clean and cozy. The lighting is bright but diffused. Good for a fun casual first date. About 9 bucks for a satisfying meal!

Clearly known to local office workers, it's not uncommon to see a line up out the door during weekday lunch hours. Luckily the line moves fast, meals are made fresh to order and they worth the wait! Best gyro I've had in Colorado! There's a reason this humble eatery is the oldest restaurant on the Pearl St Mall. You can go elsewhere in the neighborhood for the decor and service but you definitely will not get better food!

Love love love LOVE! Have been eating here for 30 years. We never miss Falafel King restaurant when we are in Boulder. Their falafel balls are the best anywhere. Can't go wrong with anything you order. Hummus is maid fresh daily and very good. I would recommend the rose water lemonade. Parking can be a bit of a problem. It is well worth walking a few blocks down the mall for an amazingly fantastic lunch. The super over priced trinket stores are interesting and fun to walk threw. The street vendors and entertainers are fun to watch.
