Southern Sun Pub & Brewery

We had an extraordinary time at this place. We loved the awesome environment and the meals. The waiters were very personal. I am glad we eventually managed to eat here.

It’s got pretty good food and they’re really chill at the counter allowing you to just pay them back later if you forgot your wallet or something. But they do a cash only thing like a couple other places around Boulder which is weird, and you have to use an ATM in the back. Also I wouldn’t say the food is *great*. But it’s a cool place

last time I visited southern sun I learned something new and fantastic about them. If you don't have cash or a check or any ability to get cash, they have something called the karma department where you can send in payment for your meal via snail-mail and everything is good to go! I just love that there are still places that feel so communal and original and simply good-spirited

What can I say? Southern Sun is our neighborhood pub for good reason! Mountain Sun is famous for it's brews but I have always preferred Southern. More space, more families, lots of outdoor seating. Staff is over-the-top friendly. These people know their beer. And don't forget Stout Month is only 12 weeks away!!! ????

Man, I always want to love Southern/Mountain sun more than I do. Beer is decent and really great selection for vegan/veggie diners and kids. Just wish a bit more care went into cooking: fish batter too thick, sauces kind of bland and salads missing listed ingredients. On multiple visits. We'll go back but with adjusted expectations.
