“This is our second trip to La Familia. They have a variety of menu selections to satisfy just about anyone craving the taste from south of the border. The carne asada is seasoned and cooked perfectly. Not a plate of chewy gristle and fat. I ordered the Tacos de Asada, my wife ordered a pork tamale and the nachos fries. They made it home for some later midnight snack. The portions are plentiful for even the heartiest of eaters. The tamale was a fantastic balance of flavor, meat and masa. The atmosphere is more casual country cabin vs a way over done Mexican theme. During more seasonal times they have a huge patio seating area, complete with a kids playground, right above Surface Creek; so you can listen to the soothing sounds of the creek, get lost peering out into the woods and enjoy a fine meal with excellent service.”

“I stumbled across this place on a motorcycle trip and got a cabin for the night. So glad I did! The staff here were super friendly and accommodating. The cabin was rustic but that added to its charm. It was clean and comfortable. The location is breathtaking with the tall pines and view of the lake.”

“Made a reservation at Alexander for their prime rib last Saturday, and let me say it was amazing! The waiter Sylvester took our drink orders and shortly after we got our prime rib! Let me tell you it was amazing! The staff was super nice and the atmosphere in the dinning room was great! For how cold it was outside the dinning room was really warm and comfortable. Would love to come back with the family again!”

“Nice , cozy place with decent food.Their calamari are a must try if you like fish , as well as their onion fried rings , which are very light and plenty of flavor. Their stakes are ok.I wish they could chat broiled them since they would have a much better flavor for sure. Service is excellent and there is plenty of parking around.Also they’re expanding the restaurant. If you are in Cedaredge , this is the best restaurant around hands down and they will take good care of you.But please , consider to cook the steaks on a different way.”

“The best breakfast burrito I've had in years, and for $4 it's a steal. The chorizo was so incredible that we came back 2 days in a row. Cute family owned spot and the cashier and her grandma behind the grill make an incredible and welcoming team! They made us fresh turnovers and they were so dang good we snagged 4 for the road. “I REALLY DO like sugar Mama's. Their in house baking and coffee is great. What isn't up to snuff is there breakfast sandwich... A. I can tell that is a bulk bought bagel. Thats fine, you can't bake EVERYTHING. You should however buy bagels up to snuff with in house baked goods. B. What is this pile of flavorless moosh on it? It's basically Impossible to eat without the entire contents in your hand and lap. Not to mention the egg seems to have no salt And pepper and just runs into the very pointless cream cheese. It's not that hard to cook an egg and use good quality bagels. For $11 a bagel sandwich should be pretty darn on point.”

“I ordered the Connie Burrito for breakfast. It was Definitely the best I have had in a very long time. The size, huge. The flavors Amazing! Yes, i had to take half home for later. This is a Must stop by and fill up before hiking or visiting the Mesa or just want a full belly. The family had French toast and other breakfast items. The French toast isn't soggy. It's just Right. This place has been here for decades. I hope it remains a family restaurant for another 30 years. I want to bring my grandchildren here. Thanks, be safe, be kind.”

“Ordered take out a few weeks ago and forgot to leave a review. We had an order for the New York steak and an Uptown burger. Steak was tender and well seasoned, veggies were great and the potato was good too! My girlfriend really enjoyed the Uptown burger also! Quality matches the price. The burgers, my usual orders, are always amazing when dining in. My only recommendation is wrapping burger buns in foil or something else to keep them from getting soggy when ordering take out. Still definitely worth the stop!”
