Hands down the best Thai food in Denver. We lived in Harvey Park for 10 years and this was our bi-weekly date night spot. We recently moved to NW Denver and even with all the amazing food spots in Denver (including Thai), we still drive to South Federal for Star Thai. The owners are THE BEST people ever. There is absolutely no comparison for the best Thai food and people .

This place is hidden in a small shopping center, and you could easily miss it, but you'd be better not to! All the food was amazing - we tried soups, noodles, egg rolls and a few entrees - and the beer was on sale. The owners - a young family - were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They close at 8 pm and make everything to order, so we ended up staying after close which gave us an opportunity to talk at length with one of the owners - she was just as awesome as the food. This is a must try if you like Thai.

It really is as good as the reviews say. We are from out of town and l have been craving Thai food for awhile now. I haven’t been able to find anything great near our house, so I searched while traveling through Denver. I must say, the area of town looks a little rough but I knew the number of great reviews couldn’t be wrong. It was just as good as I hoped for and even better after seeing the nice family running it. I had the Country Pad Thai with squid, my husband had the regular pad Thai with scallops. They didn’t taste a lot different, but my Country seemed to have a bit more flavor that I preferred. We had the Tom Yum soup which was excellent and steamed dumplings to start. Finished with the black rice pudding which was wonderful and unique. A perfect blend of salty and sweet. I am so full as I write this but it was worth every last bite. I’m kind of glad this isn’t too close or I would be ordering carry out way too often. I can’t wait to come back.

Great selections and specials!! They had a special on a beer, $2.50! Not bad, aside from that the food was delicious!! I enjoyed the country style pad thai. Its something different in a good way!

Finally! I now know where to get good Thai food. Something that has been lacking in Denver for a long time. But this place is legit. Of course, the first time I went I had to go with the Pad Thai and it reminded me of some of my favorite spots in San Fran when I lived there for a bit. I also tried the chicken Larb and it was outstanding. I’m still thinking about it! Small joint but well worth it.
