(February 29, 2020, 7:48 pm)Wonderfully queer, beautifully atmospherically late 1800's bar car sized shotgun style bar. You'll find yourself in close quarters with amazing people and great service. Try out the food specials, their food is unexpectedly good. Come for a good time but keep an open mind.

(January 26, 2020, 9:09 am)A delightful neighborhood bar. Great pricesx selection, and service. Everyone makes you feel at home. The Saturday karaoke nights provide a welcome respite to the bars that come with expected pretense. The Bar Car doesn't treat it as a competition. All are welcome to sing, and the audience loves it, often joining in. Camaraderie. I wish more were like it.

(April 24, 2019, 2:40 am)Walked over to check out the place. Very cozy, great jukebox, greater service, greatest food. Want to return when it's a little later to check out the crowd, but I'm sure it'll be great too!
