A&W Restaurant

A&W is my childhood. Memories of going to the one in my hometown, the server coming out with our food on a tray, coin changer on her waist, my dad rolling down his window so the tray could rest there. Magical moments in time.

Sadly childhood memories don't always plan out in your adult life. My (Papa) burger had sriracha (or something similar) sauce on it. The fries were so-so. The only redeeming part was the root beer.

I am willing to give them another opportunity though. It was towards the end of the lunch rush and I'm sure that may have contributed to things.

This A&W is cook to order, which means they drop it as you order it, which wouldn't be bad if the store had a full crew to work with. The soda machine wouldn't turn on, the store manager refused to get ice or at least accommodate a different choice of beverage so they weren't selling flat, warm soda. The cleanliness was sub-par as the person who cleaned the bathroom didn't clean the toilet seat. All in all, if you're not in a rush and you don't mind flat, warm soda, then this is the place for you!

We stopped in for lunch at KFC today. Love the remodel of the restaurant and our food was very good! The highlight of our visit today was definitely your employee, Melissa R.! She was cleaning the dining room when we arrived, and quickly helped us find a table where we could sit. She cleaned the table, dried it, and hurried to the back to take our order. We had our food before we could even go to get drinks. The best thing about Melissa, though, was her sweet and joyful spirit in everything she did. She was thoughtful and helpful in every way not just to us, but to all the guests that followed us as well. She made our experience excellent!!! Thank you so much!!!!
