Colorado Mountain Brewery is one of the cleanest and nicest looking breweries that I have been to. The drink menu isn't very large unfortunately, which was a little off putting for a brewery but that also means that you don't have to drink as much to try out all of their beer. I'd recommend getting a flight of beer as it includes all of their drinks, excluding their one seasonal beer, all of which were pretty good! This felt more like a restaurant than a brewery. The food was also good, especially the brisket sandwich, and it's all complimented with a beautiful view of the Rockies. Service was also great. Overall, this was a nice place.
We take our family from out of town here for Bison burgers cause they're the closest thing to "Colorado food" that we can think of, and they're delicious. Lots of good choices, but not too many choices. Solid brews, relatively speaking. This location has a cool vintage train-themed atmosphere, mid-scale casual (wouldn't recommend sandals). Service has always been great. Call ahead on weekends.
Good food, good atmosphere, a GREAT waitress.
The creative burgers were cooked perfectly, good char on the outside and juicy on the inside. With a fried egg on top, my burger was so sloppy that I had to cut it in half and still needed both hands to eat it! The fries were crispy, slightly breaded, and deliciously seasoned.
The marshmallow stout wasn't that interesting. A nice stout, if rather pedestrian, but nothing to make me order it again. Don't get me wrong; it's a well-done stout but could have been a mass-produced bottled stout rather than a limited time offering from the brew house. The only marshmallow I picked up was a faintly sweet mouthfeel.
So why only 4 stars? I think $22.70 for a burger and a beer is just a little bit on the expensive side. This is good food, but not THAT good...
Excellent food and atmosphere. This place is cozy and chic. Great for grabbing a drink with your friends and watching the game or for a nice warm meal with family. Try the Root Beer on tap, it's amazing (why they don't have a root beer float on the dessert menu is beyond me, it would be great!). The Bison Poppers are to die for. We tried the New York strip and the Bison Wellington, both incredible, though I think next time we're trying the burgers. I highly recommend the brussel sprouts. I think this is going to be on our favorites list from now on!
