Great food and usually spectacular customer service, but (whoever was working tonight Monday, February 10) Should probably watch the kind of things they are saying when customers could be around. I walked in and nobody saw me, but I was standing at the counter and couldn’t be seen behind this thing and heard one of the two guys say something not audible and then Blah blah “Spitting in their food, haha!” That is most definitely, without a doubt, one of the last things you want to hear the staff say when you are in a restaurant picking up your food. When the younger of the two guys finally saw me you could tell he knew I had heard what was just said. So his attitude definitely reflected that. He wasn’t too nice but I’m giving you guys five stars anyway because you’ve been excellent all these years. But somebody please talk to those guys. I’m no ninja so it’s not like I snuck in undetected.
We love visiting this location of Louie's Pizza with its proximity to downtown Colorado Springs. We also frequent the other place located on Fillmore. The quality of Louie's pies have always been consistent. If you order carefully and pay with cash it is very possible for 4 people to eat well for under $15...and that's including a 2 liter bottle of soda. We typically just stick to pizzas and have never been disappointed with the taste, quality or value...
Had 5 pies with various toppings for family celebration on Christmas eve. Lots of praise and obvious satisfaction from everyone.
My wife and I are gluten intolerant. Pizzas are generally off our food list because the gluten free crusts are awful. My first bite pointed out the sauce ... beautiful flavor. My wife's comment, "This is the best gluten free crust we've ever had. Pizza is back on our menu." We rate Louise's pizza as best in town.
Love Louie's pizza! It's definitely pricey but it's our go to. We live where no one delivers so we drive about 30 minutes to pick it up. That's how good it is.
I've always loved Louie's. Their garlic cheese bread is amazing in itself; but the fact that they use diced onions and peppers, which few places do anymore, really makes them stand out. Can't go wrong here?
