On the Boulevard - A Spirited Eatery

Normally five stars, tonight not so good. Service excellent as usual Philly cheese steak sandwich like a bunch of bitter overcooked leather pieces. She's worse then the cheese whiz from a can. Was promised to be better next time. I believe that and will be back due to the excellent cocktail orders and service personnel. Usually wonderful place, just a little short tonight.

Read the review (overrated) in Gazette and thought we would try it. They were busy, but not full and service was slow. Had to ask a couple of times for water refills. Menu selection was varied, offering lots of options. Two of us opted for breakfast fare and two the burgers. The food took a long time to come and came separately, we told the couple to start without us as we waited and waited. When my order came it was incomplete. The burgers were reported to be a little overcooked. While food was good, it was a little disappointing experience overall.

I love this place. The beer is cold and the food is great. My friend and I love to come in to drink some beer and share a plate of nachos. While being our go to, their green chili has great flavor (over fries and burritos). They have tasty burgers, breakfast options, and they have awesome food specials throughout the week. $1 Tacos on Monday! The bartenders are friendly and helpful. Definitely a hidden gem in Colorado Springs.

Sunday late afternoon experience. Fairly busy but we were seated right away. Typical loud bar atmosphere but they are Family friendly and had a high chair for my 1.5 year old. Fried mushrooms cooked a little long, but they were still moist inside. Burrito was a large portion, full of meat, and has excellent green chili. French dip tasted great, but really should have had more prime rib in the sandwich for the $13 cost. Mozzarella, Fries and onion rings are high quality. They have hot chocolate and whip cream for the non drinker and milk and a small kids menu. Friendly patrons and servers. Food came out fairly quick. Will be back to try more of their menu.

It is very casual comfortable place. The food is excellent and good portions. The servers are very friendly and efficient. I haven't tried everything on the menu but it is very diverse. I also think that it would be a very safe place for women by themselves.
