We literally ate ourselves into a coma. Every piece of the menu was delicious, the service was great (we had Jake), and the experience was amazing! Highly recommend fasting before you dine here haha you will eat a lot. (Also, highly recommend the seafood and wild game entrees ????)
Salad, cheese, chocolate, and server were all amazing. The only disappointment was the main course. This probably isn’t fair because it is fondue but I’m just not a fan of playing Russian roulette with the sauces.
You get what feels like pretty small portions of meat. You also get a tray of sauces. You grill all the meat yourself. Then you get to try to guess at which sauces work with the meats. The sauces were average.
There’s also the risk of cross contamination of raw foods with cooked foods.
I don’t know, for the prices you’re paying, I’d rather go to a restaurant where the food is already seasoned and cooked to perfection for you. Maybe if you’re in the mood for just some cheese or chocolate fondue, that would be fine. Skip the 4 course meal.
We had a great meal here on vacation. We tried their autumn menu. I have to to say, the salad is absolutely amazing! The cheese fondue was made with apple cider and it was absolutely delicious. The chocolate was delightful. The course I was disappointed by was the entree course - it seemed to be a very small amount of food, or it seemed like it should have been less expensive. Overall I enjoyed the experience. It was also in what seemed like an old house, which I really liked.
Went here for a date and loved it. The experience is wonderful and I love that you get to grill your own food. It definitely made it an experience instead of just a meal and I'll definitely be back. It was an A+ meal all the way through and the server was great. Wish they had a better beverage selection for those of us that don't drink though. I get tired of having to order water at every upscale restaurant
This place is lush and the ambience rich. The lighting goes perfectly with the pretty furniture, and the music they have playing isn't annoying, which in itself is a rarity. The cheese and chocolate, along with the food that you dip, is SO good. Just decadent. We can only come on special occasions unfortunately, but I think any time one comes, its special. The best part of Manitou!
