“From out of town and had lunch there. Large portions, good enchiladas and Supreme nachos. Styrofoam and plastic ware due to covid. Fountain drinks were good. Very clean and presentable indoor dining. Kind, responsive and knowledgeable waitress. No long wait for food. Recommend it for a basic TexMex meal. Reasonable price, 2 people for lunch was $26. Would go again if ever in the area.”

“They don’t have that many vegan options but the one they do, the pikes peak special, is AWSOME! AND they’re open 24 hours! It’s great, they aren’t always overly-friendly but they definitely aren’t rude and they’re accommodating. They have some literature and some of the staff seems to like deep conversation. The atmosphere is super cozy I wish they wouldn’t put honey in everything!! They’d have so many more options”

“The Trading Post's cafe has an amazing Southwest Buffalo Burger, my all time favorite! They've raised their prices a little since they remodeled, but I still think it's worth it, and the cafe looks much better and has more tables than before. I recommended it to a tourist from Florida who said she doesn't eat very much. She came in and she told me it was so good she ate every bite! Super cute salt and pepper holders too!”

“I was not there for the dining experience; but to tour the facilities for the Paragon Culinary School; which operates in part out of Briarhurst. The facility is gorgeous, and by gorgeous, that is an understatement. The kitchen/teaching area is astounding. I can definitely see why this is a popular destination for weddings and events, the house itself with the background it is set would make for a truly magical experience.”

Wait staff was very friendly and attentive. I always look for local beer when I travel, and Manitou Brewing Co was one of my favorites. The Bear Tooth Chocolate Porter is a must-try.”

“We had a great meal here on vacation. We tried their autumn menu. I have to to say, the salad is absolutely amazing! The cheese fondue was made with apple cider and it was absolutely delicious. The chocolate was delightful. The course I was disappointed by was the entree course - it seemed to be a very small amount of food, or it seemed like it should have been less expensive. Overall I enjoyed the experience. It was also in what seemed like an old house, which I really liked.”

“Very Fun Place, really cozy. The have two private rooms down there one for aprox.20 Someone had food hot plates set up in there. Then there is a smaller room 4 to 8 maybe very intimate. Love the decor down there. Rustic beams and rock.. drinks just a tad high. Would like to have more Bar/ tavern friendly food for us blue collar workers. The wine list goes to very high end...300.00 a bottle. Yes three hundred. For sum of you her that may not be a lot; however for the blue collar and family's that is a lot. A lot of people in there I talked to were hoping to have a more family friendly eating places. The Restaurant upstairs is very expensive. We ate there ate there, again very expensive. But then we are blue collar family people..”

“First, when my wife and I entered Babu's, the atmosphere struck us as entering India. It is well decorated with nice music from that part of the World. We were entranced. My wife and I wanted something light, and ordered their meat combo platter. When we received it, the presentation was very nice. When we has our first taste, the flavor kicked our taste buds into high gear. The spices, texture and overall quality is everything I'd expect from a high quality restaurant. The owner and chef were very welcoming and pleasant, and had a nice little conversation. It was a phenomenal experience, and I will definitely be returning for another great experience.”

“Rarely can you find such an amazing home cooked burger at a reaustruant! Thick and loaded with fresh toppings accompanied by a large portion of fries at no extra charge. That's an awesome deal price wise compared to "the barrel" down the road. Only 4 stars as daytime wait was well over 40 min to get our food and it was not busy at all. When the food did arrive, it was hot, perfectly cooked and delicious! Worth the wait!”

“Beautiful and 5 star “big city” style service!! From the second we pulled into valet, and our bags were whisked up to our room... we were in love!!! The door is always opened by a friendly face and the front desk was fast and efficient. THEN there was the room... and the VIEWS!!! So perfect!!! “This place is the perfect balance of 1873 and 2019! They updated everything in the room but kept the authenticity of the building and decor. The staff is amazing, extremely friendly and helpful! Matt in particular helped bring our bags in and continued to bring our car around throughout the weekend! He was always smiling and welcomed us back. The town of Manitou Springs is quaint and gorgeous! We walked around about 10 p.m and it was quiet, but as you walked around and looked into the bars you saw many people in there having the time of their lives. I love how quiet it was outside walking around but you’re still able to go to a bar and have a great time inside! The hotel cleaned our rooms and left chocolate every time. The breakfast that is included is the best breakfast that has been included in any hotel I’ve stayed at. Thank you Cliff House for making this experience unforgettable!!”
