The Painted Pig

Great restaurant - the food, drinks, and service all very on point. The night we were there the menu leaned very farm to table but they had a lot of shareable smaller plates so I really liked being to order things like you would at a tapas place. Glad to see this restaurant in Carbondale and look forward to trying it again!

I’ve been here a few times during the day for coffee, which was spectacular but we went for dinner last night for the first time. We live in Carbondale and had just left a horrible experience at another local restaurant and immediately upon entering painted pig that changed. We were greeted by a welcoming, friendly hostess who gave us some recommendations on what to eat. We were seated immediately and greeted by our server who helped explained how the menu works. She also helped balance out some of our order. We ordered two mock tails, they were tasty and well balanced. We ordered the squash rings, chicken skewers, carrots, polenta, meatballs, confit potatoes, burger, and squash donuts for dessert. Not only were ALL the dishes delicious, the were extremely creative and perfectly executed. The squash rings, skewers, burger and meatballs were the standouts for us but everything was delicious. Carbondale has needed a restaurant like this and you deserve to try them out. You can make reservations (another plus in Carbondale) we happened to see they had an opening at the time we were just walking in so we took our chances. Not only did they meet our expectations, they exceeded it. We will be back, probably more frequently than we planned! Well done painted pig and welcome to the neighborhood!

Folks, this place is the real deal. My boyfriend and I are visiting Carbondale for a few days and we met a local who recommended this restaurant. I am so grateful we ended up coming! Everything on the menu is seasonal and the menu changes daily (we came 2 days in a row and the menu was different both days).

Today we ordered the butternut squash rings, soup, meatballs, wagyu skewers, and salmon (we clearly eat well) and it did not disappoint! The mulled wine is also delicious! Super highly recommend this place.

I stayed in one of the suites above the Painted Pig for a week, and absolutely loved it. Super comfortable room with tons of amenities, not to mention you get to walk right downstairs for food and coffee whenever you need! Kade was a great host - make sure to order one of his flat whites 🤟🏻

You won’t regret the Millefeuille, squash rings, or tender short rib - the painted pig showcases Western Colorado's finest ingredients. A true Carbondale gem with a unique, local ambiance.
