We walked into this place with a party 24 strong and they sat us in 10 minutes, witch was pretty great considering. The staff was helpful(always had enough water). I order the blackened cod tacos and traded one taco with some who ordered a pork taco, you could only get one flavor. The cod taco was actually amazing and one of the best meals of the trip, but the pork taco was just OK. My mom ordered the cajin shrimp Mac and cheese and she really liked it. Also the onion rings were really good.
Food is good. Drinks are great. Service on this particular night sucked. We barely saw our waitress, she basically ignored our table and at the end of the night when we finally got the check it took her over 20 minutes to take the payment despite it being mostly empty. I have had better service and attention from the waitstaff in the past so I will definitely go back. It's one of the better places to eat and drink in Glenwood.
Amazing food and service! They were super busy during the Stanley Cup final game and all of our food and drinks came out fast. I would recommend the Mac and cheese and the nachos.
If you can, get Caitlin as your server, she is awesome!!
We really enjoy visiting here. The food and service, for the most part, are excellent. However they are not dog friendly, at all. We often travel through town with our two little furies and sometimes it is too hot to leave them in the car. We made it work, no thanks to the pub, but probably will go somewhere else on hot days in the future. They wouldn't even let us tie the dogs up outside the patio!?!? Even the other patrons could not believe how much they seemed to despise dogs.
Grabbed a late dinner on a Saturday and had a great experience! All the staff we interacted with was friendly and easy going. Our server was prompt and not pushy at all. Good beer selection and the food came out quickly and hot. We tried the onion rings, which were hot and good, and the beer cheese soup and fish and chips, both were great! The beer cheese soup was really good and surprisingly light for being beer cheese soup. I liked the addition of red peppers in it too. The place was busy and vibrant, but somehow the noise stayed low so it was easy to talk, which was nice. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend if you’re in Glenwood!
