First time on a ski slope. The staff smiled and provided assistance. Lots of families with young children. I've never done any snow sports and tried snowboarding. I enjoyed the beginner slope most of the day and even took a trip on the more advanced slope following the buckhorn path. I had a great day and felt this is an amazing resort to enjoy for first timers and more. There are slopes available that looked scary to me but would likely be enjoyable for an experienced person. Low cost smaller resort with equipment that looked very well cared for and had a helpful staff.

Everything here was amazing. The lift operators, bartenders and more were wonderful and very welcoming. The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because the hours aren't posted and are very confusing. There should be an hours section on the website, so people know. This confusion resulted in us (and others) only getting about 3 hours of skiing, which isn't a lot for $89/pp.

I came to winter park for my family 1st time ever vacation but then we found out from our hotel staff that since we all are beginner. Granby Ranch would be good. She was absolutely right. It’s a hidden gem. The most friendlier staff who guided our family in every things we needed help. The staff told us to make the reservation over the phone and we did booked lesson reservations for full day. Once we reached the ski ranch, we realize that full day is too much for us since this was our first time. The great staff adjusted our time and refunded the balance. The instructors took their time to teach every basics that we needed to know and helped us. My son (9year) who had never walked on The snow went on his own with junior lesson and came out with swinging. So did my 13 year old daughter who took lessons with us adults. They both went on to ski for couple of more hours like they knew it all. The instructor told my wife not to take any lessons due to her knee problem and thank god my wife listened. Again, the great staff understood the problem and refunded the full amount.

Anyway. I highly recommend this ski place to everyone. Less crowd with great instructors and most friendly staffs. It was the best decision I made for my family.

Thank you Granby Ranch for everything.

This ski resort is a hidden gem but it also comes with its flaws.
The ski resort has in reality just one lift. The other lift is for the bunny hill which doesn't count.
This is definitely a family friendly ski resort as it has a good long green run and also a blue run that will test the skills of an intermediate skier.

The value of the lift ticket price is okay (you can get more value at Loveland valley) but the main reason I think this resort is good is if you are a beginner and/or have children that are learning that you want them to learn skiing.

This resort is perfect for learning to ski. You will get bored if you know how to ski and want the views.

Tip: rent your ski equipment at other ski shops because you will spend at least 30 to 45 minutes just to get your equipment here. You will also save money by doing so and the walk from the parking lot to the lifts is very close it's not going to be a pain if you're bringing your ski equipment and having a long walk and or have to take a shuttle.

Bring your food. The food sucks and is overpriced. Seriously, the food sucks the quality of the food is gas station level. My daughter ordered a pizza and it was as hard as her sandal. We also ordered a grill cheese sandwich and it was cold inside (shows you it was not even fresh.)

    Bottom line:
    For beginners only.
    Bring your food.
    Rent outside.

Love riding the trails here. This spot has some stuff for the big boys. Still working up to the whole mountain. I love the tech you see around every corner. Hang on and keep your speed up and you’ll make it through
