Fontenot’s Seafood & Grill

We love to go out. Last night we visited this delicious restaurant which friends told us about. We had a delightful experience there with delicious meal and an efficient team and a professional chef. We added this restaurant in our list and we shall certainly visit again very soon. We highly recommend.

Nancy, the server was very attentive and friendly. My honey had a lot of questions and she was very patient in answering his questions. Food was comfort food. Scallops are super spicy. Cornbread was to die for, beer cheese soup was a thumbs up.

We were in Winter Park over Christmas and our best meal, by far, was at Fontenot’s. The beet salad is to die for. Everything, and I mean everything was 5 star. We will be back. Highly recommended.

I wanted to check out this place as I have been to New Orleans a couple of times and love spicy Cajun cuisine. I also love seafood and fresh fish dishes. We stopped mid afternoon and weren't super hungry. We ordered a couple of items off the appetizer menu. The blackened cod lettuce wraps had a nice seasoned flavor. The piece of cod was ample for the lettuce and was served with fresh pico and avocado. There's 2 in an order for $10. This price may be a little high for what you get. The dynamite shrimp was the other item we ordered. This item was a huge letdown. The shrimp were cold and not very flavorful. The breading was in between "thin and nonexistent". The sauce was very sweet and not at all spicy. Not sure what was dynamite about it, actually. If the food matched the decor, my rating would be a lot higher. I did not feel like I was in New Orleans, but it was a cleverly decorated space. We had great customer service here, but the food was better at other places in town. Pretty sure that we would not return for the food.

Incredible service & delicious food. I had the red beans & rice with grilled chicken added. We had a larger party of 9 but were quickly seated and served. A good selection of refreshments, alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Playing classic rock over the speakers, but it didn't interfere with our conversations. Will definitely be returning.
