Stopped in to try some of the beers from Irwin since the main brewery is production only.
The beers were pretty good. I especially liked the Mexican Lager.
The cask condition pulls weren't my thing, but wanted to try them since there aren't many cask conditioned ales out there.
We were still pretty full from lunch that we ended up back there a few hours later.
The roasted beet salad with blackened trout was good. It was a massive portion too!
Bartender was really cool as well.
Ashley was great behind the bar. Service made the food and drink that much better.
Fish + chips were on point and the recommended pale ale was good enough for seconds.
Thanks again.
We all liked the food and the menu. The drinks were a little skimpy. We had Cinnamon old fashions. They were1/3 of the glass. Next drinks were a little better. We had Shrimp and grits, Stuffed trout, Braised short ribs and Elk meatloaf. I would recommend this place!
Good lunch spot. The elk meatloaf that had a good mushroom gravy sauce on top. It comes with mashed potatoes and a side salad. I was pleased they didn't drown the salad in salad dressing. The pulled pork Mac and cheese was the right size and liked how the pork was intermixed into the Mac instead of just piled on top. The fish and chips was good and it came with a really good remoulade. Comes with a side of fries, but if you are a pickle fan it has some nice half dollar sized pickles with a good crunch.
