Roaming Buffalo BBQ

One of two places in all of CO to get bbq. I lived in Denver and would get Roaming Buffalo anytime that I was in the DU area. I just moved to Golden and I’m so happy to have a location nearby.

Bottom line: this is not your average chain BBQ, this is the real deal.

I got three meats and three sides and loved every single one of them. The pricing was very fair considering the portions and how perfectly cooked the meats and rubs were. I was honestly blown away on how good the sides were. Usually a joint might have the meats but sides are lacking. Not the case here. 10/10 would recommend this place.

Best BBQ hands down. We've been to every BBQ restaurant on the West side and there's finally real, delicious BBQ in the area! The brisket is wonderful, along with the pulled lamb and lamb shank. Can't wait to try the other meats.

Great food! Very juicy brisket and tender pork ribs, cooked long and slow. The ribs had a nice dry rub seasoning that went down deliciously with or without sauce. Reasonable prices for how much meat we got (the ribs were huge!). I'm looking forward to trying their bison ribs next time. Thank you for coming to Golden!! We've needed a good local BBQ for years. As a Texas girl myself, I am very picky when it comes to smoked meats. This BBQ tasted more like home than anything I've had in Colorado so far.

This amazing family-run business has the best barbecue in the country! The Texas roots and the worldly travels of the owners influence the flavor you find at Roaming Buffalo BBQ. The meat melts in-your-mouth, the lamb and grits are my favorites. My children's favorite is the creamy poblano mac and cheese. If you just want a little taste of barbecue I highly recommend the barbecue Sammy's. My husband's favorite is The real McCoy this bad boy is loaded with all the meats! We were so excited when they opened their second location which happened to be a lot closer to us!! If you're heading up into the mountains or coming back down from a great day in the outdoors I definitely recommend stopping by their new Golden location, located right off the 6, 70, 470 interstate stack.
