Tin Star Smokehouse has fantastic BBQ food. Great amount of food is served at a great price. The employees are very kind. You don't wait long for the food and you leave satisfied. I recommend this pit stop for all the BBQ lover's near Golden, CO.

Great portion sizes for the money

Revising to five-stars on second visit. Had the green chile mac and cheese - easily the best (and quite unique!) mac and cheese I've ever had at a restaurant!

What a great find on the way to Breckenridge from the airport right off the highway. Everything was smoked to perfection. The rub on the brisket was delicious and it was so tender. The tangy slaw went really well with it. I also had the hush puppies, green chile Mac and cheese and pulled chicken ???????? Added bonus is the super chill and friendly staff.

Delicious! Ordered the Big Tex brisket sandwich with a side of the campfire beans and added the green Chile Mac and cheese. Tasted the pulled chicken, coleslaw, sweet potato tater tots, and Texas toast. Hit the spot! My favorite was definitely the brisket, home made pickles and the green Chile Mac and cheese. Also, all of their sauces are great!

We used Tin Star to cater an event recently at Colorado Mountain Club and could not have been more pleased with the service! The food was AMAZING. The meats were smoked perfectly and we loved the collection of BBQ sauces. Our volunteers, board members, and even Executive Director all commented on what an excellent choice it was! I especially appreciated how wonderful Cate was to work with--she went above and beyond to create signage for the specific food allergies of everyone in attendance. Everything was setup perfectly and Cate included every tong, serving spoon, platter, etc. that we needed. You can truly tell that this restaurant is run with pride by people who love BBQ and know what they're doing! Thanks so much, Tin Star! We'll definitely be back!
