Highway 3 Roadhouse & Oyster Bar

The first place I stop to eat, upon entering Durango. This spot is filled with Cajun charm and southern hospitality. Perfect if you are missing some home cooking, from the Gulf Coast. 🦐 Beautiful flowers line the outdoor area. Cute bees like to pop by and pollinate. 🐝 Be prepared to come in early and get in line. The food is delicious! Well worth the wait! Gluten free options are clearly listed on the menu. The catfish and oysters were available gluten free (Hwy 3 shout out THANK YOU for the GF options). Full bar is available. Weekly specials. Friendly guests and bartenders. A fun time always included.

We enjoyed a nice spot outside to dine. The atmosphere is unique and fun. The staff was very friendly and the food was great. We did have a slight wait but it was well worth it.

Nice atmosphere but the food was not very good. I grew up eating fried catfish and okra, ordered both and they were very under seasoned. They both tasted like fried cornmeal. For the price the catfish platter should come with hush puppies maybe instead of the soggy fries. All in all I was very disappointed.

What a Great find. We live here and haven't been able to make it to Road House Highway 3. The help and the food brought me to New Orleans. Chuck has that New Orleans food down pat. Treat yourself to dinner and just close your eyes you'll experience the food without the drive. What a find thanks again for the wonderful experience.
